Tolerates Wet Soil
This warm-season annual is a relative newcomer on the scene but is quickly gaining popularity for its pretty bride-white tiny flowers that dot the trailing leafy stems. It's striking in hanging baskets and containers and as long as it's kept cool and moist, is easy-care.
Care
Rich, well-drained soil. It dislikes heat, such as a sunny patio or by a driveway, and wilts permanently if it gets moderately dry, so keep it in a cool spot and very well-watered. It's a good idea with this plant to use water-absorbing polymer crystals in the planting soil or to use a mix with the crystals worked in. Fertilize once a month with a liquid fertilizer.
Planting
Plant established plants in spring after all danger of frost has passed. Mulch to conserve moisture.
Pests and Diseases
Prone to aphids; spray leaf undersides with the garden hose periodically to prevent.
