How To Soak A Black Eyed Susan

How To Soak A Black Eyed Susan

To help also stimulate root growth, I like to soak the perennials. This is an optional technique, but it works really, really well. I just take the whole root system and I soak it in what is called a B1 rooting hormone. It's like a couple ounces per gallon of water, and basically you just put them in the bucket and you let them sit there and soak for a good 20-25 minutes. Depending on how wet the plant is. It will stimulate the root a lot quicker when you get it into the hole where it's going to be. You can just submerge the whole plant in the bucket just like I'm doing here. It'll take up all those viable nutrients. It really makes a big difference for germination and rooting.
